Cleaning Spills
Cleaning a spill properly will maintain safety for both the guests and your fellow employees
items needed
- wet floor sign
- mop and bucket
- rag/squeege
Preparation
Step 1
When a spill happens, first get a wet floor sign and place in a conspicuous area near the spill
Using a towel, remove any ice/debris from the spill
If there is a drain nearby, use a squeegee to remove as much liquid as possible
If there is no drain nearby, use a dry mop to soak up as much liquid as possible
Step 2
Once the area has been cleared of excess liquid, mop the area with the floor cleaner.
Leave the wet floor sign out until the area has fully dried
