Cleaning and sanitizing Surfaces
When cleaning Surfaces it is important to to remember to clean then sanitize the surface.
This is primarily done using the Green/Red bucket method.
When?
- every 4 hours
- WHEN Switching Tasks
- WHEN an area gets DIRTY
Items Needed
- Green Cleaning Bucket
- Red Sanitizing Bucket
- Rags
Preparation
Step 1
To start, fill your green bucket with warm soapy water
and your red bucket with room temperature sanitize solution.
Put a NEW rag in each bucket
Step 2
To clean an area, take your green bucket and with the rag, wipe down the area removing ALL VISIBLE contaminants
Step 3
SANITIZE THE AREA USING THE RAG FROM THE RED SANITIZING PAIL
Let the sURFACE air dry
Make sure to return the towels to their buckets after use
Check your buckets frequently to make sure they maintain concentration
Change out the solutionS:
every 4 hours
as they get soiled
if the sanitizer tests out of compliance
